Short Term Course in Film Criticism and the Art of Review by Indian Institute of Mass Communication. In Association with “Film & Television Association of India”.
Duration of Course:-
- 20 days full time
- Including Sundays
- Time:- 10-00 am to 5-00 pm
No. of Seats / participants:-
- 24 (Course will be conducted only if minimum strength of 20 is reach)
Qualifications for Film Critic Course:-
- pass in any Inter / 10+2 course
- 10 class pass candidates with good film knowledge are eligible
- Any interested/eligible “Indian National” can apply
Applicants should have an unbiasedanalytical mind that can engage relevantly with contemporary issues & the Cinemas of their times.
They need to have a basic skillset like appreciation of different genres & kinds of Films & a flair for expressing their observations in words.
A preliminary familiarity with Film history will be an asset.
Those interestedin working in TV -Television/ Radio/ Podcasts etc. need additional skills in public speaking & the art of conversation.
Though a basic proficiency in speaking- writing in English/ Hindi is require to take the course,
people from all language all States / Regions of the country are encourage to participate.

Film Critic Course Medium of Instructions:-
- The medium of instruction is in English & partly Hindi.
- Participants are expectedto have adequate knowledge of English / or Hindi reading, writing & speaking.
Selection Method of Film Critic Certificate Criteria:-
- On merit basis, basedon the marks awardedto the questions as askedin the application form.
- Demand Drafts (Course fees) of all the non selectedapplicants will be returnedwithin 10 days after announcing the results/ merit.
How can we get certificate in Film Critic?:-
- All participants would be givenparticipation certificate on successful completion of the course.
- Minimum 90% attendance is mandatory.
How to apply for Film Critic course in India:-
- Download application form from websites of FTII or IIMC.
- Fill – in all details, attach required Demand Draft of Rs 30,000/- and send it by speed post/ courier or deliver it in person to:-

- Incomplete applications, applications without required Demand Draft, applications received after due date & time etc will be rejected.
Accommodation in IIMC Delhi:-
- Limited accommodation (on first come first served basis) in IIMC Hostel
- is available for the participants on additional lumpsum payment which will be excluding meals.
- Participants mayhave their breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea/ coffee in hostel mess on payment basis.
