Assistant Engineer – Electrical:-
- The candidate must possess a BE/BTech in (Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering) OR AMIE (A&B sections)
Assistant Engineer-Mechanical:-
- The candidate must possess a BE/BTech in ( Mechanical Engineering) OR AMIE (A&B sections)
Assistant Engineer_Electronics:-
- Candidate must possess a BE/BTech in (ECE/EIE/Instrumental, Power Electronics Engineering) OR AMIE (A& B Sections)
Assistant-Engineer- Civil:-
- Candidates must possess a BE/BTech in (CIVIL Engineering) OR AMIE (A&B sections)
Age Limit for TS GENCO AE posts:-
- Minimum 18 to Maximum 44 years (ason 01-07-2023)
Upper Age relaxation:- - for BC(NCL)/SC/ST = 05 years
- PwD = 10 years

- The Duration of AE Exam is (02) Two hours (120minutes)

Scheme of Examination/ Pattern of ts genco AE Exam:-
- The AE exam consist 2 Sections (A&B)
- The “Written Examination” = 100 Marks
- Multiple Choice Questions = 100
- Each question carrying 1(One) Mark.
Section “A” consisting of 80 Questions on CORE TECHNICAL SUBJECT
Section “B” consisting of 20 questions on English, General Awareness, Analytical & Numerical Ability + Telangana History, Culture & post-development of Telangana State after formation, & Basic knowledge of Computer for handling office works (MS Office etc.).
The Duration of the Written Examination will be 2(two) hrs (120 minutes).
Selection Process of AE in Electricity Department TSGENCO:-
- The selection of candidates will be purely basedon “merit marks” in the Written Examination.
- The “Written Examination” shall comprise of 100 Marks consisting of 100 multiple choice questions & each question carrying 1(One) Mark.
- The Section “A” consisting of 80 Questions on core technical subject
- The Section “B” consisting of 20 questions on English, General Awareness, Analytical & Numerical Ability, Telangana History, Culture & post-development of Telangana State after formation, Basic knowledge of Computer for handling office works such as MS Office etc.
- The Duration of the Written Examination will be 2(two) Hours 120 minutes.
Category= Minimum Qualifying Marks:-
- OC, EWS & Meritorious Sportsperson = 40%
- BC = 35%
- SC/ST = 30%
- PH = 30%
